West Virginia State Trooper

Salary Range: Starting Salary is $2,106 per month; $2509 per month upon Academy graduation

Job Description / Responsibilities
Statewide law enforcement responsibility involving both criminal and traffic activity including crime scene investigation, traffic crash investigation, court testimony, report writing, etc.

Minimum Qualifications
You must be at least 21 years of age , possess a high school diploma or GED. You must have a valid driver's license prior to two years of application.

Benefits
Vacation and sick leave are accrued each month. Troopers participate in the State health insurance program and are covered by the Troopers retirement Plan B. Time-one-half is earned for hours worked over 40 each week and special overtime is available through a variety of programs. Uniforms, ordinance and other equipment are provided.
