State Police 52nd Cadet Class Graduation


INSTITUTE – After twenty-six long weeks at the West Virginia State Police Academy, the 52nd Cadet Class will graduate on Friday, July 25, 2003. The graduation will be an instrumental step in helping to alleviate the current manpower shortage faced by the State Police.

The State Police is funded for 674 uniformed Troopers. Currently there are 585 Troopers in the State Police. The addition of these cadets will bring the total number to 608. We also still have 24 Troopers activated in the military.

All media outlets are invited to attend graduation. It will be held on Friday, July 25, 2003, at 10:00am at the Charleston Municipal Auditorium.
