

Man Killed in
Methamphetamine Lab
Explosion
GASSAWAY, WV – A man was killed earlier
this morning after an outbuilding exploded where the victim was
believed to
have been cooking methamphetamine.
The body of Alva G. Brady,
39, of Frametown, was discovered after the fire was extinguished by the
local
fire department. A preliminary
investigation has determined that the victim was in the process of
cooking
methamphetamine at the time of the explosion.
Several methamphetamine
lab
precursors were located inside the building as well as a hot plate,
which was
used to cook the methamphetamine. Other
notable items of evidence were also recovered at the scene.
The local fire department and state fire marshal’s
units were called to the scene around 2:00am
this morning. The State Police was
notified at approximately 6:00am
after the fire was extinguished and the body was found.
Possible charges against the owner of the
property and
outbuilding are being considered at this time.
