On 11/14/1980 skeletal remains were recovered from a secluded wooded area off of Virginia Route 33 in Rockingham County Virginia. This route is not a normal trucking route and runs through this county into West Virginia. The remains were transported to the OCME-Western District in Roanoke, VA. It has been determined by an anthropologist that this was a WF 20 to 28 YO, 5’ to 5’5 and has probably borne at least one offspring. Also due to agriculture growth and bleaching the remains had been partially buried for at least two years. There was a 1964 coin located and the death appears to have occurred between 1964 and early 1979. The teeth were also recovered and examined by an odontologist. This exam narrowed the age of this female to possibly 22 YO with a plus/minus of 2 years. To this date identification has not been made and any information on a missing female with these characteristics would be appreciated.
